Hello, my name is Terri Gray

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL. I put myself through college working as a graphic artist, and continued in the field after graduating. During this time I enjoyed learning and developing new mediums and artistic techniques. I have spent the last 40 years as a working artist and teacher.

My artwork is strongly influenced by my background as a graphic artist. My work features shapes, imagery, and textures from nature. I playfully interpret the animal and natural world to create my mixed media paintings and ceramic pieces.

I currently work, show and sell my work at Austin Pottery Studio And Gallery. My work has shown in a national exhibit at Charlie Cummings Gallery in Florida. In 2023, I was invited to show my work at the George Washington Carver Museum in Austin, Texas. I have been a featured artist for the Clay Collective of Austin and the Texas Clay Arts Association. See current shows, galleries and exhibitions.

Artist philosophy

Though Helen's art has garnered critical acclaim and accolades from around the globe, she remains humble and grounded, finding solace in the act of creation itself rather than the recognition it brings. Her studio, nestled amidst the whispering woods on the outskirts of town, serves as a sanctuary where she can commune with her muse and unleash the boundless creativity that lies within.

Through her artwork, Helen seeks to spark a sense of wonder and curiosity in the hearts of all who encounter it, inviting them to explore the mysteries of the universe and the depths of their own souls. For her, art is not merely a means of expression but a journey of discovery—a testament to the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

As Helen continues to push the boundaries of artistic innovation and imagination, her legacy grows evermore profound, inspiring generations to come to embrace the transformative power of art and the boundless possibilities that lie beyond the canvas.
