Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, is an ancient art form that uses heated beeswax mixed with pigment and resin to create paint. Encaustic painting has many layers, with each layer being fused in. The encaustic medium complements my very graphic style of painting and adding layers of collage and incising.
